I was rescued from a rubber tree plantation along with my sister, Chrissy. I had mange, anaemia and was clearly starving to death. I’m lucky to be alive.
I’m a sweet and gentle boy, born around Nov 2010 and are named Benny. I lived on a rubber tree plantation and had no one to care for me. Because there was no food around and no one cared to feed me, I had no choice but to eat pieces of rubber and garbage. The humans that lived near us didn’t even care to help me. I was so hungry and was slowly dying.
Luckily, a kind human saw me and alerted Bodhi. When Tina found me and tried to take me back with her, I was too scared to go near her. No one had tried to help me before. She didn’t give up and kept visiting me with food. I was so neglected and I’ve been through a lot to overcome my traumatic life. From transfusions, a fungal infection, injections, anti-inflammatories to creams. I also had three cancerous tumors!
When I arrived at Bodhi, people could see how unhappy I was. My tail was always between my legs. I was like this for a long time because I had lived in fear for so long. After some medical care and loving attention, my tale began to wag and it’s been wagging ever since! When volunteers see me walking around, they can’t help but smile at how happy I am.
Unfortunately, my sister and I are being treated for Heartworm. Apart from that, I’m a healthy, happy and handsome boy.
I would love to be adopted into a slow paced home as I’m a quiet, sweet and reserved little boy. Despite everything I’ve been through, I know I’m a handsome boy and I charm the volunteers with my happiness! Can you give me the chance to charm you? I would love to find a home, but if you can’t give me a home, you can sponsor me and see my progress.
