Due to complications, I lost an eye so had to be more careful than other dogs. It was very hard for me to trust others.
My name is Bindi and I was born around April 2012. I’ve come a long way since first arriving at Bodhi. I used to be very scared and reacted negatively to the other dogs, but it was simply because I used to be unhappy, not because I was a bad dog. Due to patience, love and care I’ve come a long way and settled down very well, even with more than 90 dogs around!
Although I have one eye, I’m a happy, pretty and soft little girl who loves to be loved! I’m gentle, patient and love humans. I love to be petted and have a good belly rub. I even flop on my belly to tell you when I want one!
Because I lived on the street at a young age, I had to fend for myself, so although I live peacefully amongst the other dogs, I sometimes still react. However, a trainer at Bodhi helps me with this and I just need some patience and guidance in this area, as I listen to humans really well!
I love attention and an occasional play, but I’m not too energetic so would love a calm home environment with lots of love and cuddles. You don’t need to worry about me running around and messing the house up!
Can you show me what a loving home is like? I would be better in a home without other dogs. If you can’t adopt me right now, you can sponsor me and Bodhi will send you pictures and stories of my progress.
