They tied me up behind a truck, and they planned to kill me.
My rescuers brought me to the Bodhi Shelter after my near-death experience. A local person saw some horrible people who had angrily tied me up behind a truck, ready to drive away, in the hopes of torturing & killing me. The kind woman stopped them and offered to take me away. My torturers accepted the offer. They mentioned to the kind lady that there were 2 more dogs, and they were also going to be killed if no one took them.
Tina heard about my story and then came to the rescue. She opened up 3 spaces at the shelter for Nessie, Banjo & me. We could FINALLY feel safe & learn what being loved feels like.
Having been a long term resident at the Bodhi Shelter, my caretakers think it is about time that I found a loving home of my own. They say it is important that I can forever forget my past trauma.
I am a fun loving girl who can offer SO much love & playfulness. For some reason, most potential adopters who visit the shelter don’t seem to interested in adopting me. Maybe that’s because I’m just not pretty enough. My caretakers think I am a gorgeous girl, but most people tend to go towards the puppies or scruffy/fluffy dogs.
I find myself very comfortable with other dogs of all sizes, kids and strangers. I promise to be non – aggressive and will soak up loving attention from anyone who offers it to me.
When I think of my perfect home, I think of a family home with older children or an active couple/person. I do need to shed just a few pounds. I am sure that when I get into shape I will be super fast & athletic! I am not so sure how I would get along with cats, but my caretakers can cat test upon request.
